Meh...something I made up in 5 minutes just now to liven up this section of the forum.

Ionian choruses whelp
As you cry to me,
We stand on mist, upon the sea.
Slated tools for yours to choose
And with hesitant eyes you do refuse.

But your weeping is that of a locrian lie:
Suspenseful with tension but never fulfilling,
But you grimace at your miserable life
for your life is one where you'd prefer to die.

In this world,
albeit fictitious,
Life is an obstacle
for all who live it.

So I begin to proceed
To drown you in 'heathened' sea.

I guess if you want to reply, give me your interpretation of the poem? It should be pretty obvious though, lol - I'm no modernist/symbolist who leave interpretations completely up to the readers. But use your creative minds to come up with interesting interpretations =D

That's really pretty. ^^ I have to say, it will take me a while to be able to interpret this... It seems to hold some complex meanings. n_n I'll interpret today or tomorrow once I finish FFXIV for the night (it sure as hell is making me lag a lot right now).

I wonder what describes good poetry Shocked . I mean like how do you know that something like "I like pie / And I hate flies / So I eat my pie / So the flies can die" is bad poetry compared to a piece by someone like T.S Eliot which is good poetry? *contemplates*.

Oh and interpret it now! I'm curious as to what you think!

It seems to me like.. He offers to help someone who is constantly depressed and upset with their life, when in reality life is pretty much an unfair crap shoot for everyone in the world. Perhaps this person isn't listening to their advise, and that's where the scornful tone is coming from?

This can relate a lot to me. >.> I know someone who constantly bitches about her life when she doesn't listen to the advise we gives her. Just annoying lol.

Nice...but what do you make of the lines "In this world, / albeit fictitious" and "So I begin to proceed / To drown you in 'heathened' sea"?

Hmm I don't know. I think when I read that part I lumped it all together with someone making their life out to be far more worse than it actually is. The way its written though makes it seem like it has a different meaning. @_@ Ahh.

And maybe by drowning them in heathened sea they're telling them the truths they don't want to hear? Haha hmm...
